Privacy Policy

Overview

Keeper does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

All data you enter — animals, feeding logs, molt logs, maintenance logs, weight records, and photos — is stored exclusively on your device using your device's local storage. Nothing is sent to any server operated by Tarantula List.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. Tarantula List has no access to this data and cannot view, recover, or delete it. If you uninstall the app, your data is removed from your device.

Optional Dropbox Integration

Keeper offers an optional Dropbox integration that allows you to back up and restore your data to your own Dropbox account. This feature is entirely opt-in.

When you connect Dropbox:

You authenticate directly with Dropbox via their official OAuth 2.0 login
Keeper stores only the access token Dropbox provides — on your device only
Backup files are written to a dedicated /Keeper Backups/ folder in your Dropbox
Tarantula List never has access to your Dropbox credentials or the contents of your Dropbox

Your use of Dropbox is governed by Dropbox's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Keep List Sharing

Keeper includes an optional feature to generate a shareable link listing your animals. When you use this feature, your keep list text is submitted to dpaste.com, a third-party paste service, to generate a short URL.

The submitted text includes only the animal names and information you choose to share. No identifying information about you or your device is included. The paste is publicly accessible via the generated link.

Your use of this feature is governed by dpaste.com's Terms of Service.

This feature is entirely opt-in — your data is never submitted to dpaste.com except when you explicitly tap "Share Keep List."

Analytics & Tracking

Keeper contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or any other third-party tracking code. We do not know how many people use the app, what features are used, or anything else about usage patterns.

Children

Keeper does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. As no data is collected at all, there are no special requirements for users of any age.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Given the nature of the app, we do not anticipate significant changes.
